When a life insurance company’s AI algorithm denies a new applicant, the verdict sends him into a stretch of quiet introspection.
Forever was shot with LiDAR, a sensor best known for its use in self-driving cars, to capture real moments and real places. The same technology that lets a machine “see” people in precise detail also limits how much of them it can resolve. The film is about that tension, and it was made in that style: a story and a look both shaped by where advanced technology meets human experience.
